Hello Victorian GovHackers!
For those of you returning to GovHack, it’s good to have you back. This year again we have official events in Melbourne, Geelong and Ballarat. This year we also introduce an exciting new theme node – focused on open raster data – right in the heart of Melbourne. Check out all the locations here.
If you’ve participated before, you may have recollections of frantically scrambling through web pages looking for dataset links. No more! This year we’ve introduced the ‘Competition Portal‘, a central location where we display event locations alongside their relevant datasets.
Victoria Connections Event
Meet other Event Hosts, the GovHack Victoria State Operations Team, future Participants and Mentors.
On Monday 11 July, GovHack Victoria is hosting a connections event at the Deakin University Melbourne City Campus, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
Competitors can speak directly with data providers and network with other participants to ask questions and form teams.
Sponsor GovHack Victoria!
Money raised through sponsorship goes to directly support our competitors. GovHack is a community event, organised and run by volunteers. Your sponsorship will go the distance!
Our state sponsors also get naming rights, and may display branding at events, speak at the event and awards night, contribute featured datasets, and more.
Sound interesting? You can read through our state sponsorship prospectus.
Become a mentor for GovHack Vic
Are you an authority on datasets, or a subject matter expert?
Competitors will need guidance on data sets and experts to bounce their ideas off. Over the competition weekend, you too can contribute to GovHack by supporting the achievements of our participating teams! Find out more here, and please consider registering as a mentor.
